Learn to Dive & Recreational Diving Program
The RAPS Learn to Dive & Recreational Diving Program introduces athletes to the sport of diving in a fun, safe and supportive environment.
The program combines Learn to Dive, Recreational and Intermediate levels, allowing divers to develop skills at their own pace while building confidence in the water. It is suitable for beginners trying diving for the first time as well as athletes looking to further develop their skills.
Training sessions include a combination of dryland training and pool diving. Divers begin sessions with dryland work to develop strength, coordination and body awareness before transitioning to the pool to practise diving skills.
Athletes who demonstrate strong skills and readiness may be invited by coaches to progress into the RAPS Competitive Squad.
For program enquiries please contact the club committee.
Competitive Squad
The RAPS Competitive Squad is designed for divers who are ready to further develop their skills and commitment to the sport.
Squad training focuses on refining diving technique, building strength and consistency, and preparing athletes for competition. Divers continue to develop more advanced skills while working closely with coaches to improve performance and confidence on the boards and platforms.
Training sessions include a combination of strength & conditioning, dryland training and pool diving.
RAPS has a strong competitive program, with a number of our squad divers regularly competing at state and national level competitions.
Divers are invited into the Competitive Squad by the coaching team when they demonstrate the skills, consistency and readiness required to train and compete at this level.
Masters
Our Masters Diving program is designed for adult divers who would like to develop their diving skills in a supportive and welcoming environment.
Masters divers may be returning to the sport, learning diving for the first time, or continuing to train for personal enjoyment and skill development.
Training sessions focus on improving technique, strength and confidence through a combination of dryland training and pool diving.
Currently, Masters divers train alongside our youth athletes, allowing them to benefit from regular coaching while training within an appropriate group for their skill level.
If you are interested in joining the Masters program or returning to diving, please contact the club for further information.
