RAPS Divers Make a Splash at 2026 Community Cup Round 1!
The 2026/27 Diving Queensland Community Cup series kicked off on the Gold Coast, with eight of our junior RAPS divers and Coach Millie making the trip south for the first round of competition.
Despite the wet weather, our divers arrived ready to give it their best, proudly representing RAPS in their brand-new club uniforms.
The Community Cup provides a fantastic opportunity for developing divers to put their skills into practice in a supportive competition environment, build confidence and gain valuable experience alongside athletes from other clubs across Queensland.
Throughout the day, our divers demonstrated some beautiful diving and great determination as they worked through their level skills. It was wonderful to see the progress they've been making at training translate into their competition performances.
Beyond the diving itself, one of the highlights of the day was seeing our athletes encouraging one another, celebrating each other's achievements and enjoying the experience together. Even the rain couldn't dampen their enthusiasm!
A big thank you to Coach Millie for supporting our divers throughout the competition and to all the families who made the trip to the Gold Coast. Your ongoing encouragement and commitment play such an important role in helping our young athletes develop their skills and confidence.
Congratulations to all eight divers on a fantastic start to the season! We're incredibly proud of the way you represented RAPS, both on and off the boards, and look forward to watching your progress as the Community Cup series continues.
Go RAPS! ๐๐งก๐ค
